About Jim Alstott

I'm Jim Alstott, President of Global Personnel Search, Inc. I've been recruiting for about 30 years, and I'm based in the western suburbs of Chicago.

My work is in manufacturing, supply chain, project management, and plastics and packaging. I recruit for plants across the Midwest, most recently in the western suburbs of Chicago, Davenport, Iowa, Greencastle and Bloomington, Indiana, and Newport, Tennessee, for roles like injection molding process technicians, supervisors, buyers and procurement, and the people who keep a plant running.

I work with a small number of companies at a time, and I get to know each one from the inside. When I talk to a candidate about your company, I'm talking about a place I know, not reading from a job description.

Over the years I've worked with companies of every size, from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. I studied at DePaul University and Illinois State University.
